1: chicken 1 kg (cut in 12 pieces)
2: thick greek yogurt 1 cup
3: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
4: green chilli 6 (make a paste)
5: onion 2 medium (grinned)
6: saffron 1/2 tsp
7: turmeric 1/2 tsp
8: cumin 1 tbsp (dry roasted and crushed)
9: garam masala powder 1 tsp
10: red chilli powder 1 tsp
11: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp
12: almonds 10 (skin off), cashew nut 10, melon seeds 1tbsp, milk 1/4 cup (grind to a paste)
13: milk 1 & 1/2 cup
14: oil 1/2 cup
1: heat oil add the onion paste and fry till light golden, on high flame.
2: then add ginger & garlic, green chilli and fry on high flame for 2 minutes.
3: add the chicken and fry on high flame till it changes colour.
4: now add salt, cumin, red chilli, turmeric, yogurt mix well and cook on high flame till the oil comes on surface.
5: then add the nut paste, milk mix well, wait for a boil on high flame then lower the flame low to medium, cover and cook till the oil comes on the surface.
6: now add the saffron, garam masala mix, cover and simmer for 2 minutes.
7: serve hot with naan, sheermal.
